Goat-O-Rama 2026 Kids for Sale!
#1
It's that time of year, and I have a really great crop of kids available this year. We have 8 kids on the ground and 3 are already spoken for, but the rest still need homes. These are excellent kids out of the best does from my herd, 3 of whom are Pest daughters. I can't say enough nice things about Pest. His grandkids all carry his bold, outgoing, and super friendly personality. These kids' sire is a registered Harmody Alpine buck who is super tall and long. The doelings can all be ADGA registered if the buyer chooses. I maintain a CAE/CL/Johnes-free herd (tested annually). All kids are dam-raised but handled daily for excellent bonding. I expect the boys to be over 60 lbs. when we wean in July.

The two boys available are Blackjack (born 4/12) and Harry (born 4/19). Blackjack (or Jack) is out of my most outstanding packgoat producer, Sadie. Sadie is the largest doe in my herd and produces very long, tall, leggy kids. Jack is no exception! He's going to be a very big guy when he finishes out. He's 3/4 Alpine and 1/4 Nubian but he heavily favors the Alpine, with erect ears and classic black and white sundgau coloring. Jack is very sweet, and I expect he'll be, like all of Sadie's boys, a very uncomplicated guy with a strong work ethic and no drama. I expect he'll be the sort to keep his head down and do his job.

Jack at 6 weeks: Look at the size of him! At 4 weeks he weighed in at almost 30 lbs!

Harry is the other boy that's still available. He's smaller than Jack but beautifully put together, with very sturdy and correct conformation. Harry is also a very handsome color: Belted chamoisee with black points and plenty of chrome. Harry is very outgoing and loves to climb on people (something he is fast outgrowing!). His mother, McGonagall, is small but extremely athletic. McGonagall is from my Ziggy line, which is the only family whose females are capable of jumping on top of the goat houses. Ziggy and her kids are also the boldest on the teeter-totter. McGonagall is the tallest and most athletic in the Ziggy family. Ziggy and her family are higher % Alpine than my other goats and are descended from my star packgoat, Finn. I expect Harry will make an outstanding packgoat when he grows up, and will likely be a very bold climber and explorer.

I also have 3 doelings for sale: Jill (Jack's sister) (born 4/12), Hermione (Harry's sister) (born 4/19), and Belladonna (a singleton) (born 4/17).

If any of you packgoat breeders are looking to expand your genetics with a new doe, you won't find anything better than Jill. She's out of my best packgoat producer, Sadie. Sadie is the "Big, Black Buick" of my herd and she consistently produces outstanding packgoats no matter what she's crossed with. Sadie has long, correct legs, strong hooves, a beautiful straight back, prominent withers, and just overall amazing packgoat conformation, which she consistently passes along to her kids. And did I mention she's huge? Jill carries all of these qualities, along with an extra dose of "long and tall" from her registered Alpine father. This gal has outstanding genetics and will produce big, strong, beautiful boys one day. Jill is 3/4 Alpine, 1/4 Nubian but favors the Alpine. She's sweet but not obnoxious. All of Sadie's kids tend to have very kind, even-keeled personalities. I haven't weighed Jill, but her brother Jack was almost 30 lbs. at 4 weeks!

The next gal available is Harry's sister Hermione. Hermione is the smallest kid this year, but she packs a lot of "goat" into a small body! Hermione has a long, slim build with very correct conformation and a great deal of athleticism. She is also extremely outgoing! Hermione is from my Ziggy line, which is the most athletic in my herd. Ziggy and her daughters are the only females that can jump on top of the goat houses. Hermione's dam, McGonagall, is the tallest and most athletic in my Ziggy line. They are all descended from my star packgoat, Finn. Hermione is also a granddaughter of my outstanding buck, Pest. Hermione comes from a strong line of excellent milkers with high, tight udders and some of the best milk I've ever tasted. Hermione is about 7/8 Swiss (Alpine + Ober, Saanen). I'm sorry for the lousy photos. She's so active and "in-my-face" I couldn't get a decent photo of her!

Belladonna (or Bella) is a stunning combination of size and good looks. She's larger and more substantially built than Hermione, but more compact than Jill. Bella is our most outgoing kid this year and would rather be with people than with other goats. She's very rough-and-tumble and will knock everyone else out of the way to get on your lap! She's a gorgeous tri-color out of my beautiful doe, Molly. Molly is a Pest x Snowball daughter who exemplifies the nicest qualities of both her outstanding parents. I've been incredibly pleased with the Snowball line as it consistently produces very easy-going, gentle goats with good conformation, beautiful colors, and very nice udders on the girls. The boys from this line are always good, easy-going packers with low-maintenance hooves and low-maintenance personalities. Bella should produce some really nice kids in a variety of fun colors.

I'm just going to bump this thread and post some new photos of the kids that are left.

We still have Jill and Hermione, and boy are they lovely girls! If you're looking for a doe to produce outstanding packgoats in both personality and conformation, THIS doe could be the cornerstone of your herd! Jill is out of my "big black buick" doe, Sadie, who consistently produces phenomenal packgoats. Jill is 3/4 Alpine and it shows in the striking Sundgau coloring and the long body and legs. Jill has a sweet, mellow temperament like all of Sadie's kids, and she has outstanding substance and conformation. Asking $350.

Hermione is the other doeling available, and although she is from smaller genetics, it is also my most athletic "Ziggy" line. Ziggy and her kids are the only does in my herd who can jump on top of the shelters, which they frequently love to do! Ziggy's line is descended from our famous star packgoat, Finn, and they are always the most curious, fun-loving, adventuresome, (and did I mention athletic?) goats in my herd. Hermione is 7/8 Alpine with a classic two-tone chamoisee coloring (my personal favorite of the solid colors). Hermione should be a fabulous milk doe. Her mother and grandmother have high, tight, perfectly shaped udders and are super easy to milk. And their milk has outstanding flavor and high cream content! Asking $300.

I also still have two packgoat prospects available this year! These are the twin brothers of Jill and Hermione.

Jack (or "Blackjack") is shaping up to be an absolute powerhouse of a packgoat. He's out of my "big black buick" doe, Sadie, who consistently produces outstanding packgoats. Her babies always finish out taller than average, with very nice substance of bone and long, straight, strong backs. Sadie also passes on her kind, mellow, low-maintenance personality. Sadie's kids tend to just keep their heads down and do their job without fuss or nonsense. Frequently they are gentle herd leaders who take charge without bullying. Asking $450.

Harry is the other young wether available, and he's a little firecracker! Harry is excessively handsome with a striking color and very sturdy, correct conformation. Harry is from my most athletic line of goats and is a descendant of my star packgoat, Finn. This little guy will add a lot of personality to your string. He's got a bold, adventurous personality and he loves to engage with people. I can already tell that this will be the goat that's always in your photos as he poses on pinnacles and outcroppings and peers over cliff sides. Harry will probably finish out at about average size. Asking $400.
