Other then identification, the only real reason to register a goat is to be able to show it or eventually show its offspring. In the case of an experimental you can breed up to an American status after so many generations of the correct breeding and conforming to the breed standard. You can also show your grade goat at an ADGA show in the experimental class, win and get championship legs towards its status. Registered grade animals dont tend to bring any extra money with their papers.
