Those are automated spam bots. Forum sites are found and the program is ran to auto join all the different forums and spam them with any number of things. It should be noted:
NEVER CLICK ON A LINK that is available on these odd posts. They range anywhere from spyware to key loggers or even viruses. The same goes for email. Just because you see you friends name come up on your inbox list, doesnt mean its from them. Most of the time you can hoover your mouse over their name and it will show what email address was used.
