Good to know. I just moved the goats today to my place in Nevada and the water is really hard, it leaves white residue on everything and I'm worried about the goats getting stones from the calcium in the water (one goat, who was castrated before I got him as a baby, already had stones a couple of years ago but he got lucky and survived). I think I could get them to do the once a week in a handful of damp grains thing - do you think this would be sufficient? They are already too picky about their minerals so I'm not even going to bother with that.
