Drying up a goat soon

My doe kidded on New Year's Eve she had two kids and was producing quite a bit until she got mastitis in one teat once we got rid of that we occasionally milked her but not very often now she hasn't been milked in about one or two months she needs to be dried up completely by July is there any way to speed this up?

If you havent milked her and her and her kids are not on her and its been 1 or 2 months, she is dry already. If the kids are still on her then you will need to pull the kids off and milk her as needed. Most likely twice a day to start then reduce as she allows.

Her kids have been sold because of her extreme aggression I tried milking her today and it was mostly watery will it ever be completely dry or will it just be watery stuff

It shouldnt be watery at all. Was her udder hot or cold? Did she fight being milked? Any flakes in the milk? Watery usually means mastitis.

As a doe dries off the milk in the udder is absorbed slowly. If her udder is not tight, then there is no reason to milk her.

Hmm she had mastitis a couple months ago I guee she's on track for being dried up thanks for the info I've never had to dry up a doe so fast

Goats that get mastitis are prone to repeatedly get it. Hot or cold to the touch?
