Impressive DIY build, CaminhoDeCabras. It looks very sturdy.
I had a question related to the article on pads. Since wooden sawbuck saddles are so rigid, do you prefer using a dense felt pad to absorb the friction, or is the fluffy fleece style (like in the photos) generally better for preventing those pressure points on the spine?
I'm currently debating what materials to gather for my own start-up kit and would love to hear what works best for breaking in a new saddle.
