That's a nice setup! I like the double girth straps. I'll be adding that to my goats packs this year before any major hiking is involved, I noticed last year on steep inclines and declines the single strap wanted to move around a lot and there was to much stopping and re-adjusting for my liking.

I just received my Rookie pack saddle yesterday and it is very well made and light. It's a little big/long for Koby who is only 18 months old but he is growing so fast (currently 160lb) so I think it will fit him very soon. I don't plan on loading him up for a long time. I also ordered a few other bits and bobs from Sopris and I'm very impressed with the overall quality and finish.
