Additional Info About Goat Mama
Location: Shasta Lake, Calif.
Bio: I have been raising goats, both dairy and pack for 9 years. I have been the 4-H Pack Goat leader in our area for 6 years now.
I had a huge set back in 2012 from a bad horse accident. I had to sell off my whole pack string and horse trailer to help pay for Physical Therapy. I am now trying to start over again, but I really miss a couple of my goats that I had to sell, Dante and Ellis. I wasn't able to do any hiking in 2013, so am I am now trying to get back in shape and am doing short hikes.
Your Goats: Clairabelle is our oldest goat, she is 6 years now. She is my husbands pack goat. She is a very large alpine and weighs a little over 200 pounds.
Daisy is Clairabelles daughter and is my pack goat. She is 4 years old. Daisy is my duel purpose girls. I also show her once or twice a year besides packing. She usually comes in 3rd place at our local shows and this is with Red Wood Hills taking 1st and 2nd, so I am happy.
Sammy is my sons 3 year old 4H project wether. He is a oberhasli.
Bubba is my sons 1 year old wether. He is from my pack line, so a mixture of 5 breeds.
Churchill is my new Sanen buck. He has already been on 4 hikes with us and is doing great! He is 2 years old.
Damascus and Denver are 1 year old twin saanen wethers that I got from my vet. Denver is out on lease to one of my 4h kids.
Callie and Tam are two daughters from my main heard sire. I am hoping that they will get my pack line up and going again.
Fallon is an alpine I got back to keep after a few years of boarding her off and on. She small, but throws awesome babies!
Ziva is a spotted Lamancha looking doe that came from one of my alpine packline of goats on the does side and LaMancha saanen on the bucks side.
Cricket is my daughters goat, she is a pygmy nigerian cross.
