Additional Info About Goat Mama
Location: Shasta Lake, Calif.
Bio: We got our first goats in 2004. Our first goats were 2 Kinders and then a Toggenburg, and we mainly got them just to have real milk and to try to cut out as many chemicals from our diet as we could.
Well, it didn't take us very long to find out how wonderful these little critters are! We went from 3 to 9 then to 17, Ended up with 40, now down to 21. We went from just milkers and pets, to the kids doing a little showing in 4-H, then we heard about pack goats! My life has never been the same!
A friend and I started the Shasta Pack Goat club in our area back in 2007. It is still going strong. I was the County wide 4H pack goat leader for 11 years. It has been a long and fun run with these awesome critters!
Your Goats: I have had some awesome goats through the years. Too many to list. I have been breeding for very large and very sturdy pack goats and have been getting my ideal pack goats for a long time now. Most people think they are ponies, lol! Our start in my pack goat breeding program came from Charlie Goggins and Carolyn Eddies goats, crossed with some of my goats, and then selective breeding. My Original Logan lines (my first perfect pack boy), are pretty diluted now, but the bone and size and temperament are still coming through. We have added a very large and wide and large boned LaMancha to our lines and our first baby born in 2020, fit the name I have been waiting to fill for a long time. Riddick is going to be an amazing giant boy. He is my pride and Joy :) Cant wait to see what he throws in 2021!
