Anyone interested in a non breeding de horned yearling doe? - Dave-Trinity-Farms - 03-20-2015

Figured I post her here before I put her on the website. She is Clydes daughter from last year and sister to gogo boots. The doe Huckleberry picked up a couple of years ago. She is just now turning 1 year old. Figure $150.00 is a decent price but willing to entertain an offer. I also have a very precocious yearling doe that Im just going to sell as a weed eater. She is breedable but no where near the caliber of our other animals. $100.00 on her or $200.00 for the both of them. First pic is of the non breeder. The second of the weed eater. PM me. Thanks

Why is she a non breeder?

She never cycled. Teats are boy sized. She has much more of a beard at her age then she should have. Clyde was pretty good at throwing non breeding does for reasons we cant figure. She was under 2% line bred.

The black does dam was sold when she was a month old. Not an easy thing to transfer a month old kid from dam to bottle at that age but nothing we havent done before. Nope. Tried every trick in the book and she simply refused to take a bottle or lamb bar. Worse, she even refused to nurse off another doe. She she effectively weaned herself at a month old. We dont sell stunted animals so kept her around to see if we could bring her up to an acceptable condition by the time she was a yearling. But it never happened. She has good height but over all kinda scrawny and its obvious she was stunted because of her conformation. So before she is sold for butcher, figured to offer her up first.

The Clyde daughter would make a great packer as far as a female goat would go. She was a bottle baby and very sweet. Good size and bone. Outstanding feet and legs under her that you can see in her picture.

At least you don't have to worry about urinary issues.

True that! Well unless you are standing right behind her when she starts to do her business. Might wanna pack an extra pair of socks! Smile
