Saddle Pad Material Question - AcanthaRose - 07-07-2018

Does anyone know where I can buy felt saddle pad material? I want to make my own saddle pad and use some of the same material to add padding to the straps on a saddle I just bought, but I have no idea where to find the right material that is not already made into a finished saddle pad. When I looked on Amazon, all I could find was felt for putting under carpets and furniture, which I don't think would be thick enough.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What about something like this:
https://www.jefferspet.com/products/dr-j-black-felt-saddle-pad-3-4-black

Or this:
https://www.jefferspet.com/products/wool-pad-protector-tan

The black one is 3/4" thick and the tan one is 1/2" thick. I think you should be able to get two goat pads from one horse pad.

Ive hears of getting a horse pad and cutting it down to size. It seems like they might be a bit thick. Ive never down it so I dont know.

Thanks Nanno! those look like great options.
