Hello Dave
I agree good snacking time there,
No snow here in SC and I have all woodlot brush around me that my 2 boys have free range on most all day when I am around.
Did stop in at a Christmas tree lot in town that was closing down, they had some left over I could have had for free. But after I looked at them they were painted to stay green and keep the needles on. Probably fire retardant to. Not something I want my boys to eat so I left them lay.
We are only now getting down into below freezing overnight temperatures. then up into 50's in the day.
Question for you?
What would you think of a Alpine X Sannnien buckling for a Pack goat Cross? Out of some very nice big Sannien Does?
Does are good milk goats and friendly. I have a friend here that keeps the doelings for replacement or sells them as milkers.
Bucklings she just takes to local Auction to get rid of them.
Happy New Year
hihobaron

Would make a good cross. Any cross between your larger breeds would work good if the bloodlines carry good conformation and size

BAHAHAHAHA!!! The goat on the right-hand side in the first picture looks hilarious! There's a white goat in the background behind his head that makes it look like he either has a really awesome coiffure or else a pile of whipped cream on his head!

LOL i didnt notice but you are spot on! The doe up front is Gabriel, Legions grandma. Even at 11 she is still the herd boss and always comes to the fence for her scratches. Being the queen has it perks.
