Hello from flatland IL

Hello!

My name is Phil Smith and I live in central Illinois(unfortunately).  I was hiking in Colorado a few years ago and learned about pack goats from a fella we met on trail near Red Rocks.

My wife and I love animals of all types, but due to parental obligations and other life circumstances we only have 4 cats at present.  I am an Iraq war veteran and the camaraderie of this community is very attractive to me both for myself, and for potentially helping disabled veterans go on hunts that they may not be able to go on otherwise.

I have limited experience with livestock, but have grown up working both on farms, and in our family business.  I have several connections that I have reached out to about helping with their goats to get some experience as I plan out my entry into actually owning animals.

I look forward to getting to know more about packing and all that comes along with it!

Cheers!

Hello from the deserts of Central Utah. There are a few flat spots around here. In fact, I'm pushing to have the next pack goat "rendy" in Utah in one of the unique environments we have here... In the Salt Flats!
I don't drink beer, but if I did, I'd prefer Dos Equis.  Stay thirsty my friends!
