Echo gave us two beautiful bucklings! We have a few name idea's but haven't settled on either of them yet so we are still open to suggestions.
So far we have: Mowgli & Baloo, Dice & Domino. They are already hopping around but aren't quite at Lotus's level. She's doing circles around them. We are excited for her to have other kids to play with.

Echo and Denali (our last doe to kid due March 3rd) have really been butting heads. To the point there heads are raw, and when I tried to separate them they were fighting through the fence. After a few hours they settled down. Echo has always been mean to Denali and this is the first time I've seen Denali stand her ground and fight back in a long time, is she standing up for her unborn kids?

Anyhow, here are some cute pictures of the buckling's:

Handsome goats. I love that color. They have exciting lives of adventure ahead!
I don't drink beer, but if I did, I'd prefer Dos Equis.  Stay thirsty my friends!

Aren't they beautiful! Congratulations! I like both sets of names, but Mowgli and Baloo fit with the Jungle Book theme from their dad. I love the coloring and the wattles! Does their mother have wattles under her ears? You're going to have so much fun with these little guys!

We've seen our does get really feisty right around kidding time too. In fact, one of the biggest goat fights we've ever seen was between a heavily pregnant doe and her underling who had recently miscarried and was trying to usurp the throne. Tigerlily and Jezebel have been sparring a lot recently too. They are not due for 5-6 more weeks, but they're starting to get testy. Tigerlily has actually been challenging a lot of the other goats, including the bucks and the herd queen.

Yes the dam has ear wattles! They have Bagheera's neck wattles. I love their coloring too especially the tricolor we are excited to see what Denali's kids will look like. So far we are leaning towards Dice and Domino but are still open to idea's.

Yes our does have really started bashing on each other, we hope they settle down our shelter really isn't big enough for fighting and we've had to lock them up at night due to a bob cat prowling around our yard this past week.

We've settled on names for Echo's bucklings: Domino & Dice.
There isn't anything more terrifying than a 3 day old buckling posturing at me.... He's going to be a handful!

Ok, now that is way too cute to be allowed! Look how tough he is!  Big Grin  You're going to have so much fun with these kids.

The names are great. And you've got a couple more due in the next few days don't you! I hope the next birth goes as well as the last one.
