They posted on the goat spot and I suggested they come here and post. Turned out one of their goats went clinical with CAE so they put it down and replaced it with one of the ones pictured. This was a few years ago. I suggested they have them tested as that will help them sell them. Here is a cut and paste of the conversation.

ME: Might I suggest posting to pack goat central. BUT you are going to find it harder to sell them if they are not currently tested negative for CAE.

THEM: Thanks for the advice. i need other places to advertise these guys.
About the CAE: My understanding is that while they may carry the disease, they are definitely not contagious, so they would not be dangerous to another herd. Is that incorrect?

ME: That is 100% WRONG. (sorry, but wanted you understand how wrong that is.)
CAE is more or less, to break it down, the goat form of AIDS. Its a retro virus and has two different stages. But they are just as contagious in both.

Always like to see goaties find good homes but with the lack of CAE knowledge, this buy would be a big risk.
