I ordered the kit from Hoegger, and I don't think the shears are the same. Mine have green handles and went dull pretty quickly, and the most goats I've ever had at one time was six.

When I had places my goats could get up off the ground I almost never had to trim--they would actually bite their nails.

It was almost in the 80's here, so I used the solar dryer :). The goats got so whiny at being ignored I trekked up the hill to make sure nothing was wrong :)

Most goat breeders I know are aiming to kidding about now, not breeding. What's the rationale behind your scheduling? Because you get snow about now?
