I really wish we got out more often, even just for a day hike. It hasn't really snowed in several years here. Of course it "snows" occasionally but it melts as it touches the ground or it gets 1/2 inc...

I love lake katchess! I drive to and from wsu often (4x/year) and it is so beautiful year round. I didn't realize that there were campsites there. You're giving me some camping ideas ?

In the few months that there wasn't much foliage I fed grass hay, plus a handful of grain to get them not to cry when I leave them in the morning and at night. It has worked well for us. We also start...

I'm not sure my goats know their names; they both respond to either name. I say "come on, kids" when I want them to follow me on the trail. At home it usually means "get in your stall, I'm on my way w...

Goat cries get me every time. When Max was 4 weeks old and needed a series of injections (BoSe, CTD, vitamins, etc.) They asked if I wanted him to stay in the room or if they should take him to the ba...

What a champ! If you're interested in making a similar pack for my 60# nigi I'd pay handsomely for it. The pool noodle idea was smart but reinforcing them with PVC is a stroke of genius.

Mine like to relax in the car. Now that they're bigger we use dog seatbelts to keep them in the back seat but they loved riding shotgun 15 pounds ago.

Interesting theory. I'll be interested to see what others experience in terms of lifespan. I know miniature horses tend to live longer than full-sized horses.
