Scabbing in the ears - ledel - 06-13-2014

There is a young doe about six months old where I board my goats. She has these bumps inside both her ears there brown the same color as her skin and are like scabs. Are they eat mites? If so how would I treat it? If not what do you think it is and again how to get rid of it?

Thanks don't want whatever it is on my goat if if its something that can be spread all answers are appreciated!Big Grin

could be mites or biting flies. Any animal fly spray would help for flies. For mites Id de worm the goat and maybe even spread some de wormer on the scab area. Which she will not like.

Around here my horses always have some scabs in the ears from those damn gnats. The big ones that go for ears specifically. Some horses attract them more than others.

I hear that Charlie. Here we have even had them go for udders when they get bad enough.
